vol.8　白を引き立てる"経木ホワイト"

日本の経木は私を魅了しています。
経木のなかでも特に薄いものは、透明で、ほとんど白に見えます。

私は、肌色が明るい木の、柔らかいトーンの色が好きです。
その色調は心を落ち着かせます。

黄色、金色、褐色がかった淡いトーンの明るい白い花たちを混ぜ合わせてみましょう！
そしてこの作品たちは、5月という素晴らしい季節の到来を感じさせます！
ウエディングシーズン！ハイキングシーズン！顔にたっぷりふりそそぐ太陽！
誰もが深呼吸したくなる、明るく新鮮なシーズンです！

経木の色は、色彩の専門語の「ペールトーン」に入る色です。
（もしかしたらペールトーンより無彩色に近い色かもしれません。）
通常、ペールトーンは、常に周りの色を薄める効果があります。
しかし"白"と合わせると、白をさらに際立たせる効果になります。
それは、明るさのハーモニーになります。

KYOGI WHITE

Kyogi, the shaved wood sheets, which are unique in Japan, are
fascinating me. Especially the quality which is very very thin and
transparent and looking therefore almost white to me.
I love the soft tone of lightwood, it's a calming yet bright tone.
Let me mix this pale yellowish-golden-brownish-whitish tone with bright
white flowers and I feel prepared for the glorious season of May.
Wedding season! Hiking season! Lots of sun in the face! Season for
taking deep breaths and feeling fresh and bright!

The color of the Kyogi leaves is what we call in more professional
words " a pale color". Usually the effect of pale colors
on other colors is always a softening of the whole picture. In
combination with clear white though, the pale tone makes the white feel even more crisp and white:
it's a harmony of brightness, what we experience here.
